Built right. Managed from start to finish.
BuildWright Construction is a licensed Los Angeles general contractor (CA License #1061731) serving Los Angeles and surrounding communities. We specialize in major residential projects: kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels, whole-home renovations, home additions, second-story additions, ADUs, and garage conversions.
Homeowners deserve a contractor who does more than build. They need someone to coordinate the work, communicate clearly, solve problems, and take responsibility for the outcome. That is the standard we built this company around.

Our mission
BuildWright exists to give Los Angeles homeowners a construction company that takes ownership of the entire project, not just the work being built. We bring professional management, clear expectations, honest communication, and accountability to residential construction from start to finish.
Our vision
We want to raise the standard of residential construction in Los Angeles so that quality work, professional management, and accountability are what homeowners can expect from their contractor.

Meet the founder
Edoe Barzilay, the Los Angeles general contractor behind BuildWright
Founder & General Contractor · BuildWright Construction
Edoe's connection to construction began early. His father, an electrician and engineer, taught him to understand how things work, solve problems with his hands, and pay attention to details others might miss.
He worked in the field before moving into project management. With more than 20 years in construction, including more than 12 in California residential work, he saw what happens when a renovation lacks clear scope, communication, and ownership.
That experience shaped BuildWright: a homeowner should not have to become the project manager just because they hired a contractor. Edoe sets clear expectations, coordinates the trades and decisions, addresses problems directly, and takes responsibility for the outcome.
The homeowner. The trades. BuildWright. A successful project needs all three working toward the same goal.
Outside the jobsite, Edoe is usually training, hiking, or spending time with family and pets.
"When someone puts their home and their trust in our hands, we take both seriously.”
Why homeowners choose us
The standard behind the work
Own the job
No surprises
Do it right
If BuildWright is responsible for something, we own it.
We communicate changes and concerns as they arise, before they grow into larger problems.
Quality is a standard to uphold in the work, not a slogan.
Build together
The homeowner, our team, and the trades work toward one outcome.
Show up
Credibility comes from doing what we said we would do.
Keep it clean
We treat the jobsite and the surrounding living space with respect.
High-end craftsmanship should come with clear scope, professional coordination, honest conversations about changes, and respect for the home. As a Los Angeles general contractor, we focus on quality and fair value rather than competing to be the lowest-priced bid. You can see the results in our project portfolio and read what homeowners say on Houzz and Yelp.
